Born and raised in New Jersey and the product of thirteen years of Catholic education, one reviewer called stand-up comedian Tom Drake’s act “An Attitude with a Tie.”

His likable style and funny observational skills, however, have made him a favorite performer in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, on the concert stage and aboard cruise ships around the world.

Tom has shared the stage with Tim Allen, Rita Rudner, Elayne Boosler, Carrot Top, John Stewart, Alan King, Henny Youngman, and many other well-known comedians.

In 1995, after beginning his career in comedy clubs, Tom was asked to audition his act for major cruise lines, which were searching for new funny performers. His performance was a hit, and the next day, he was offered a continuous fourteen months of bookings on five major cruise lines.
Those fourteen months turned into over twenty-plus years at sea and a marriage to a cruise director in 1999. Since 2007 Tom and his wife and cruise director Dottie Kulasa have been part of the team at Oceania cruise line.

In 2012, Tom was honored to be inducted as a member of the Friars Club in New York City.

Tom says if he could change one thing in his career, it would be that he would have sought more television appearances so that his parents could have seen him perform more often.

However, performing on ships did give him a chance to see the world and get paid at the same time

Kind of like the Army but without the M-16 and the pushups!
